There are lots of successful businesses using twitter and there’s one thing that you will notice they all have in common.  Their Business Branding.  If your Twitter BIO page is boring then oetential customers might click away.  Here are some tips on Branding your Twitter Account:

  • Keep it simple and focused.  Spend the time thinking about how your brand and product should be conveyed.  Getting it right from the start will make it a lot easier for people to want to follow you.
  • Don’t use the built in backgrounds that Twitter offers you by Default.  There is a lot of screen real estate especially on the left hand side of your background.  This can have your brand/logo, contact information and a picture of your product or business.  If your not handy with a photo editing program ask around and get someone to do it for you.
  • Make sure your Bio Information list your brand or product and keep the description of what your advertising very short.  Just like a Blog or Webpage, choose you keywords carefully.
  • Keep you contact information up to date as well as your bio.  If you have products that change all the time them update your profile.  People that have chosen to follow you are less likely to un follow you if your profile is up to date and keeps changing.  Keeps things interesting.
  • Keep you logo/slogan or message the same across all of your marketing and social networking and micro-blogging adventures.  You want people clicking your links and wanting to buy your products.
